6.2 diesel hose? (the short one??)

What is that hose that goes from the water pump to the crossover pipe on top? Its a short section, but all I can find at rock auto is a 1"x4" section. Does this seem correct?

Yes,that's correct.

Its the "By Pass Hose"--usiually its just a hunk of heater hose the proper diameter,some hose companies might have a "molded" hose with a part number available if you dont want to use heater hose...in my experience engines with by pass hoses ,that hose is the first one to swell like a balloon and split open before any of the others do!..
