6.2 headers?

I have a set of H1 6.2 headers sitting in my closet right now...

I've heard differing opinions of how well they fit on a CK truck, but as far as I can tell so far I think they'll fit with not too much trouble.

I think Kennedy diesel also sells 6.2 headers, but from i can remember they're spendy...like $500 or something. i got the Hummer headers for $60 and they're new, as in never used...

With full length headers, a 6.2L get about an extra 10 hp and 15 tq. They're pricey, and unless you're committed to doing only NA or can find them used for cheap, wait for a turbo.

:haha: but a turbo is beaucoup buxx bro!!! $2,500 last i was told... so headers cannot be that expensive. how much the full length cost?

1st i loked at kennedy's site and they only listed things for turbo 6.5... :screwy: but the category was 6.2/6.5.. :dunno:

2nd are the h1 headers full length? or what... and what performance gains do they offer a stock 6.2?

Farm auctions. Every time I go to one they have 4 or 5 6.5L TD's and they usually dont sell for much because all the hillbillies that attend the auction dont care for them. I got lucky at the last one I went to and scored a 89 dually with a banks'd 6.2 for $200. I probably would have gotten it for alot less but the auction company that was holding it is as crooked as the grinch's dick and is known for having their people stand in the crowd and bid **** up. That same day I also almost bought a running 6.5 truck but bailed out once it hit $500, ended at $550.

Ive sean used hummer headers on ebay sell for $10 why not buy a set from them cut the pipe off use the exost port mounts buy a cheap set of headers from auto zone or somthing break out the welder and torch cut the exost ports off the new set of cheap headers. heat them up and bend as needed until they match up to the hummer exost port mounts and weld them on. I seen mumer headers and I dont think they are that much biger then 1 7/8 small block headers. may need to compair to a big block set as well to see witch would work the best as a doner. Or you could just get a build it your self header kit and weld it up but then you would have to pay more.

Modifiying headers is too much work.
Making your own might be a better option.
But I still would go turbo, which I am.
:D

Iv ecut them to make headers before for S-10 v8 convertions and one time a 350 in a MGB I bnever thought it was that big of deal just heat them up and bend them slow if you try to do it to much at on time they will qink.

You put a 350 in an MGB?
I am working on a V6 3.8 in an MGB.
I will PM you to Talk.

iirc, some mg's had V8's factory. according to my friend who has a 74 hardtop and has looked into the swap, they were landrover v8's which were an old GM casting.
