6.2 IP pump timing ?

Well, I just installed the new IP and got the old M1009 running. It appears it is running to rich. To retard the timing do I move the mark towards the driver side or pass side ?

Turning the IP towards the passenger side will retard your timing

I'd look for a good diesel mechanic with the proper tools to set it for you... only cost me $30 last time I did it, but that was 1997 or so.
