Heys guys Im am curious if someone could steer me in the right direction on removing the cruise control on my 6.2. Also if anyone has the vacuum diagram for a 6.2. i have a chiltons and it has a very unreadable one. all the words are blurred on the vacuum diagram. Any help would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

Are you looking to just disconnect the vac lines as there is just one main line that goes from the vac throttle actuator around the top of the motor to the vac pump that is located where the distributor would be on a gas motor. The other line that goes into the cab from the actuator will not need to be disconnected off the brake release switch. You will need to cap the vac pump where you take the hose off. Depending on your truck the vacuum pump can drive other things like the doors and vents in the climate control, etc.

no not disconnect the vac line just make sure they are correct. have a feeling the guy i bought it from messed with them. some were looped into each other and one was plugged with a bolt.

Your first post said you wanted to remove the CC. Your vac hose routing depends on what you have for a transmission, if you have climate control, etc. For some reason, I have found many 6.2s have a bolt in the larger vac hose fitting close to the pump. Depending on the year, some of them had a couple of emission type solenoids close to the dash on a bracket at the rear of the driver's side valve cover. These also have a couple of electric multi prong plugs in them. If you see a couple of plugs in that location not plugged into anything then they were removed and the vac line to them plugged.
At the vac pump there is a small vac line that will go to firewall, this is the vac line for the climate control. A 3/8ths hose will go from the pump around the motor to the cruise throttle arm solenoid. There is a second 3/8ths line that runs in the wiring harness casing for the cruise and goes through the firewall around 12" under the hydro boost. The end of the 3/8ths line will be connected to a white switch that operates when the brake is depressed disconnecting the cruise. If you have a Turbo 400 trans then there is an additional line that goes to it from the right side of the engine by the valve cover if I remember correctly.
Not sure if all this helps but under the hood there is not a lot of vac lines to worry about.
