6.2 starter brace.......

i have both starter braces...the small one and the larger bent one, im going to put the smaller gear reduction starter on , which one will i need .....?........i neglected to put the brace on b4 and yea broke a starter bolt off, i got it out and the hole is good and so id the one for the brace.....im going to use a newer starter............ any help would be appreciated..
