For mud/snow - no rocks, what is a good tire size for a CUCV with 6.2na/TH400/NP205/4.56 diffs combination? I was thinking 36-38"?
What's a good cruise rpm for these engines?

sounds right to me. Ill be running the setup in my sig, almost the same as yours, except ill have the deeper geared NP208 and 4.10 axles.

I had that before and with 38.5 Boggers I had trouble to spin the wheels when stuck in deep mud.
I went from 208 to 205 big difference when the mud was deep.
Now I have a better life :D sm465 :D

Ronnie,
Do you recall what kind of mpg you got with that combo?
I could do the LoMax 3:1 in the np205 help out - sounds like that would be a good thing.

damn..... been a while since i did pricing. are you comparing atlas II to the whole lomax case? or just the replacment gearsets? seem to remember that they were about the same last time i checked, maybe ive got it sideways.

i would think that the 208 will be fine i use to mud mine i killed the 700 long before a 208

I think he has got a 205 :wink1:
Never looked at the mpg but it should be good.
The LoMax was the thing for me too but I broke my 400 before I bought a LoMax and went to a stick instead.

Yep, my CUCV has the 205. I guess there are pro's and con's to that vs the 208. Nice thing is I have a pto winch that can go on there now. ;)
