6 cyl bellhousing

Should have just asked this in your other post, I don't think they do, but as the guy said, they have a bellhousing for the sm465 that fits the inline.

The inline 6 cylinder 194, 230, 250, and the 292, all have the same bell housing bolt pattern as a SBC, BBC V/8.

250 6 cyl

Does a 250 inline 6 have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the standard Chevy 90 engines?

Kris

I did a 6 cyl to 350 swap a few years ago.I used the bell housing and the flywheel clutch ect from the 6 and bolted right up to the 350 no problem!!!

The only thing I had to find was motor mount brackets and all the pulleys water pump and power steering parts for the 350.I like it much better than the 6.

I now can stay at a constant speed on the highway,The six you start off at 75 by the time I got up to the top of the hill I was down to 45 mph!!!! Mike

As far as I know all the inline 6 and 90 degree v8's and v6's as well as the Iron duke 151 I4 have the same bellhousing pattern.

Seams there might be a differnce with the 215 I6 as I think it was a buick built engine. But thats pre 1950 stuff

A side note that isnt even prevelent; the Iron duke 4 cyl is NOT the same as the 151 or 2.5l 4 cyl used in fwd cars and s10's, even though the displacement is the same. The 2.5 modern 4 cyl uses the 60 degree bellhousing I belive.
