6 inch lift

[ QUOTE ]
ive been up silver mountain didnt like those trails to much. I love the mud but its hard to find around here, and i like an occasional hillclimb and maybe some rocks from time to time.

[/ QUOTE ] For the wheeling we have around here, I think a 4" lift is pleanty. You can always trim fenders for tire clearence. It is your truck so it is your choice what size lift too go with. By the way, I find pleanty of mud east of town (Badlands) after it rains. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif Ever been wheeling out by Scenic ??

to clear it up i meant how would it hurt adding a bodylift on top of a 6 inch suspension lift.

Depends on how wide your stance is and where you are going to take it. Mine has more like 7" of suspension and a 3" body on very wide 35x16 boggers mounted on 16.5x14 welds. Mine feels very stable with that much lift but I wouldn't feel so safe on a narrow rim like a 10" with lots of backspacing and a skinny tire.
I hardly ever get mine off camber though, It's my transportation mostly but when offroad its usually mud or pulling.

BTW, body lifts suck if you want everything to be right. They are more work than it seem by the time you modify your bumpers to compensate for the lift.

[/ QUOTE ] He's a local where I live, and the trails around here are pretty tight. Even 10" wide rims with 4" backspacing is cutting it close for most trails here in the Black Hills with a K5, so ya see where I'm coming from about the 4" lift and fender trimming. Infact, on most of the trails around here, be prepaired to scrape trees and rocks with a vehicles as wide as a K5, and you can forget about trying too get a burb on most of the trails in the Black Hills. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

I've got 16" wide tires and trust me, nothing feels stable at 10" of lift. Maybe if you had dually axles and 2" backspacing 15x14s or something, but I assure you that if you took that truck anywhere off camber, you'd realize how queesy it would feel.
