6" Lift and 33"s?

Re: 6\" Lift and 33\"s?

So, 36 or 37's will fit under a 6" lift? I think that would be the way to go. Anybody have a picture of this setup?

Here is my K20 with 9" of lift (6" susp. and 3" body) and 36" tsl's, the tires will hit un-trimmed fenders. In the pic of the passenger side you can see where the tire mashed the fender up a little.

Re: 6\" Lift and 33\"s?

my 79 K10 parts truck came with 33 x 12.50s on it, and it was stock. looked just about perfect for a stock height truck. i'd say go with 2.5, 4" at the max if you're set on running 33s.

Re: 6\" Lift and 33\"s?

both of my trucks have 6 inch with 35s and is fine as long as you are not flexing hard but when you start flexing it tends to rub but if most all you do is play in the mud them 35s should be fine but i found 36 tend to rub slot more but i would run 36s and do a little trimming myself.....thats just my 2 cents

Re: 6\" Lift and 33\"s?

I am running a 6" suspension, 1" Body and poly bushings for around 8" of lift with the 35's and mine looks goofy. Maybe it is Just the tire but going to step up to a set of 38.5's later in July once I put the 3/4 ton axles underneath it.

Re: 6\" Lift and 33\"s?

ive got 3" lift and 33's... too small. im going to 35s eventually.with 6" i would definatly go with 35s. no bigger if you got 1/2 ton gear. if your going 3/4 or 1 ton then get a 36-37 tire. dont be afraid to trim a little. its worth it if your accually going to use your truck.

Re: 6\" Lift and 33\"s?

It's really about your own taste! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I've got a 4" lift and 33's. I started with the tires and REALLY flat springs. Even then, I got no rub. Those are huge wheel wells! Now that I've got the lift on my truck, it looks only o.k. So now I'm in the process of switching out the 1/2 ton stuff for 3/4 ton stuff so I can go 35's. That involves a lotta /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif and /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif and /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif and especially a lotta /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif If all you need to run over stuff is 33's though, who cares how it looks! Right! Ugly to win! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

4" on 37's is the way to go once you meet the AZ crew.
