Re: 6\" lift shocks

here is the part # for some gabrial shocks he can get at auot zone, they have 12.5 inchs of travel should be good for the amount of lift and they only run about 20 bucks a piece.G63438

Re: 6\" lift shocks

I called the Autozone local and the told me that have them and they are $16. the guy at on the phone was saying that i would not have to have the longer trave, but they sell stuff to make shocks longer or shorter.

Thanks

Re: 6\" lift shocks

I have an 87 /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif and will be adding a 6" lift in spring 2003. Will these fit on stock springs for the winter? Also same question... Front and Rear same part number?
Thanks, Jeremiah

Re: 6\" lift shocks

whats going on with all the hard questions? /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif. To tell the truth I dont know!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. I picked up 2 not to long ago to put on the back but i am useing Steve Frisbies sp? lower shocks mounts and my cross bar to put them in. Depending on how they ride will make my decision to put them on the front. I just wanted to put out that there was a long inexpensive shock out there. As far as fitting under a stock suspension i dont think that would be a good idea.

Re: 6\" lift shocks

I doubt they would compress far enough to even get them bolted up, much less be able to move up and down when driving. Using a shock that is too long can bend the rod inside the shock, and then they are pretty much useless.

Re: 6\" lift shocks

Went out and bought them today, heres the pics! $19.99 each here in Indiana. Anyone have dimensions for the cross support to install these when I get my lift?
