It may be fine for you, but that combo is a dog to most. And MT/R's suck in the mud compared to almost anything made by Interco, but that's not what they were designed for.

Im on 2.73s with a 350, th350, and 35s.. It is fine for me except the drivetrain stress... @ chris

Maybe i just have a strange truck.

Maybe it's your near-zero seat time...:D

And as pointed out several times above: MT/Rs are not good in mud.

Yeah, i only drove it on the road twice..But it had ok power when i did.
I was told it had 4.10 gears too.. but i popped the diff cover a few months later and BOOM 2.73s

I have 35's on mine. Started out with 3.08's. Motor makes about 335HP. Changed it to 3.73's and am now looking at going up to 37's because I have more gear than I need. If your motor is stock or close to, it might not be enough gear. Mine has plenty of power and runs quite well with 3.73's and 35's. I can pull my 6000 lb boat with no problems whatsoever.

I ran 3.73 and 36 M/T ATZ for awhile. It was sluggish though. And I would go in and out of overdrive on the freeway. I am 3/4 ton now and running 4.10's it is an approvement. I still want to eventually regear to 4.56.

love my MTR's and contrary to popular belief I have had good results with them in mud.But they are no Bogger

look at myspace.com/bigtruckboi
i had a 6" with 37"MTR's and 307 or 308 gears that was a decent set up. i didnt build it so it had sh*t for flex but the tires were nasty awsome. never game me any trouble in the mud. im gonna run them on my new truck when i lift it.
