Has anyone has any experience in installing a 6.0 gas motor into a 87 model k5? I have a 305 in right now just looking for any advice if it is worth the swap.

Yes it's worth it :D , look in the driveway section, "Teck" has an excellent build with a 5.3 swap, among others. Do a search on LS swaps here in the garage.

Edit  Zim beat me to it :D apparently great minds think alike (Tecks build)

Didn't a user, I think his name was ryanb, have a huge thread on this back in the day?

Before setting your focus on the 6.0 as I had when I started my research, please look at the power and reliability the 5.3's are making. the 5.3's have most of the goodies form the factory. Forged bottom end in stock form supporting 600 hp, exhaust manifolds that can flow up to 800hp, more commonly found, less expensive, 6 different accesory mounting packages, and only a 20hp difference from the 6.0 in stock form. The 5.3's are almost perfect for the addition of a Turbo. Something worth thinking about for economy and power in one package.
