I am going to convert my d44 to 8 bolt to match the rear 14 bolt... I have a 10 bolt in a donor suburban... My ??? Is is will the parts off the 10 bolt 8 lug work on the dana 44 I have under the rig???

I did this conversion, although I went from a 6 lug 10 bolt with an 8 lug Dana 44. The outers on the Dana 44 fit the 10 bolt just fine, and I believe that holds true in reverse. Since you have a donor axle, you'll have all the parts (backing plates, rotors, etc.). As long as your Dana 44 is the "second generation" (not sure if they are actually called that) that came out like 77ish, you should be set. They have the larger bearings and such.

so i should be able to convert my dana44 6 lug to a 8 lug dana 44 using the 10 bolt parts (8 lug 10 bolt) from the donor axle??? correct???

Yea, those parts should work fine.

I have a '75 D44 under my front and I used the parts from an 80's something 3/4 ton corp 10 bolt to complete it out.

You might even be able to get away with using only the rotors from the 10 bolt?

I used the spindle, hub, and nuckle from my 1/2 ton corp 10 bolt on one side of the D44 because they were in better shape than the stuff on the 3/4 ton 10 bolt. The rotor from the 3/4 ton corp 10 bolt fit perfectly over the 1/2 ton stuff.

Have fun
