6" spring all around... ?'s

friend ran 6" springs and had no problems. u can live with lil vibs every now and then

hmm so some shims and maybe a lil vibration... guess were just gonna have to try and see! thanks guys, oh where can i get those degree shims?

Personally I've never seen a 6" that didn't require driveshaft mods. 4" seems to be one way or the other. Every 6" I've installed required something on the shafts.

Some folks are also changing the axles at the same time. Longer pinion on some means no driveshaft mod needed.

Actually if you want to do it right, in other words, have the driveshaft sit in the middle of the slip (approx.) like the factory sets them up, all lifts require a modification to the shafts. Spacer, lengthening, or different axle. Sometimes you can get by without it but eventually you'll want to make it right.

Good luck!

what do you mean by a spacer?
A piece of metal that goes between a driveshaft and yoke, to take up extra space.

The first is actually a shim correct? And the spacer, that's new to me. Obviously a plus is cost versus a new driveshaft what about the downsides? Jason.

actually it goes between your differential and your yoke. it seems like it should work fine, it just makes your output longer. only problem is when trying to use them in the rear shaft. most k5s have splined yokes, not bolt on flanges in the rear.
in the front, on the other hand, it should work fine.
