Looking for some round, thick washer looking spacers shims from a 60-72 upper A-arm. They are between the arms and frame. Some were about 5/16" thick and some were 3/16" thick. I need the thinner ones. Just 2, enough for one side. Anyone have a parts truck they can take a look for me? Coming up short at the junkyard.

LMC picture is of the 73-89 style, even though it's listed for my '68. It also doesn't list a 1/2ton model, which might be the difference. Not sure. My arms don't need shims, but I have too much camber out and need to suck the top of the tire back in. (thinner spacer will help)

The spacer is dished on one side, flat on the other. It's round, not oval or rectangle like the 73+.

OMG I can't find anything local and the square body trucks at the yards are different than what I need. :(
Not even the folks on CList are keeping these. They toss everything and later say "parting out" but are missing what I need.

How much of a pain in the ass are they to get out of a complete truck? I know of a 68 I could snag em from.

If the truck is in the air, really easy. But I also have a big electric impact.
Last time at the yard, I found a square body and tried. Pulled the tire off. And I think it was a 3/4 deep socket, popped the nuts off. Pry bar to get the upper arm off the studs. (I did this standing on the front bumper, dunno what the spring etc will do) The washer things are on the studs. That's it, but it has to be in the air to get to the nuts.

I will try for a picture of the two different size washers things. I'll post that tomorrow. I don't want you bothering with the wrong part :(

Yeah please. I am pretty sure i know what you're looking for just never pulled that before

This spacer is barely 1/4”. Anything more and it’s the wrong one. Flat on one side, dished on the other :waytogo: The piece touching the frame is the stud, and it is domed. The spacer/washer is dishes to accept the stud and flat where the arm touches it.

I think it looks like a pain in the ass but it's also raining alot so before I get to wrenching it's got to clear up some. The truck is about 30 miles away.

I'll get back to it and if I can do it like you're saying I'll snag em. I have no access to anything out there. Hand tools only really.
