Where can I buy the O rings that go around the plastic dial? I tried using some that I sourced at A Zone but thier girth was too thick and I couldn't turn the dial. I also broke 2 hub bolts. :doah: Prolly have to buy a whole bag from Fastenal now.:(

Fwiw, Motormite has the bolts available in the Help! line. I'll get the number and post it tonight.

Kewl! We don't have Motormite around here, never even heard of them, but I'll look around in the HELP isles. I question their quality though. Last time I broke a Dana 44 hub bolt I lucked out and Fastenal had quality bolts for pennies each cuz they had an opened bag. Might try a hydraulic shop for the O ring.

Check the local phone book for an o-ring or hydraulic place. Should have no problem matching up what (I hope) you already have at least pieces of.

I got mine off eBay. It came with the dial and chrome body o-rings plus the allen head bolts with lock washers, too. I think it was around like $17 for everything.

Motormite is the brand name that Dorman sells the "Help!" stuff under ... looks on the corner of the package, somewhere it'll have a big funny M.

Dorman also has hardware kits that a good local (i.e. non-chain) parts house will have in the back, lots of little drawers of all kinds of goodies, like return springs for the Caddy calipers, etc etc. (However, that I know of they don't do O-rings.)

Anyway, we should now return to your regularly scheduled post, just for our information.

Crap! I tried to go to the garage twice last night, got side tracked by my kids and forgot. I'll post the Help! # tonight.

Home Depot has the allan head bolts in StainlessSteel for about .90 cents for two. I just bought them. Fastenal has a box of about like 50 for $16. No one I went to (hydraulic places) had the corrct O rings. I did buy 12 small O rings to go around each hub bolt. I was turned on to a place here called Memphis Rubber and Gasket. If they aren't too far from work I may hit them up on lunch hour. I would buy the kit of ebay but I don;t have paypall and all that so I have to go thru friends so it's a PIA.

I found the new dial O rings at Memphis Rubber and Gasket. Dude gave them to me free. Can def tell a dif in how resistant the dial is when locking it in. I put a dab of grease around the O ring to help resisit tearing and assist in sealing.

The PN is 139 Buna 70

I didn't bother having him look up the large thin O ring as I really don;t trust them much and so use RTV anyway.
