Just got off the phone with Moser, they don't and at least from this guy won't make me a 40 spline set of full float rear shafts. Their 35 splines are 1.495" diamater as well. Need to call Superior maybe or CTM about double splined. Grr just called Superior, their tech is closed till tomorrow at noon. So I have to wait till tomorrow afternoon to talk to them. They claim to sell 40 spline full float 60 shafts in their catalog but of course I need ot talk spindle with them. My thought is, cut the 60 spindles off and junk them, then slap on the already large 14 bolt spindles. I would of course need the flange to be made for the 14 bolt pattern then but I doubt thats a big deal.

Just run a stock 14 bolt already, it's not worth it. You'll scrap the whole project like you did the last two if you keep up with this detail nonsense.

I just wish I had time to go to SEMA instead of run my business.

Have you even broken a 10 bolt? A stock 60 shaft? A stock 14 bolt shaft? Stop trying to build the greatest rig ever, and wheel whatever POS you got!!! You are actually worse than that supersize75 guy. He at least drives the trucks before he destroys them. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That is all. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is a tech thread, not a rant thread.

Alan, why not go the route you were talking about before about getting a high clearence center section? (i.e. dynatrac)

eh that was goodhearted joking enough. hes right I build, destroy, and never wheel /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I was just giving him a hard time. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Anyway...The only place I've heard of making 40 spline full float stuff for a 60 is from Sandy Cone. ~$900 for the spindles and hubs, $600-700 for the shafts.

I'd just hack and plate the 14 bolt. In the very unlikely case you break a shaft they are cheap to fix. If you really insist on needing that much beef, get the superior 14 bolt shafts from ORD.

on the fence, gonna talk to superior tomorrow about 60 shafts. I'm sitting here like, alright I'm building a healthy 383, 4 speed, good crawl ratio, 39.5 iroks, the 14 bolt is heavy but boy those shafts will take it and will a set of 35 spline 60 shafts take it??? I'll probably just slap a damn 14 bolt under it, if I decide later I need more crawl ratio I'll save for an Atlas

other (insert pirate doubler finger smiley here)

My K5 is being scrapped. Burb is going to be my daily driver/trail toy for the next year. The other project is an S10 blazer. Not a k5 rebody, starting with S10 frame. My suburban is getting a 14 bolt, the simple direct bolt in factor is nice for that. Burb will be lifted and all but a factory setup basically.

should be intresting thanks (insert pirate doubler finger smiley here) /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

that was previous to the present K5, keep up /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif
