63 inch 88\' 1/2 ton springs (I searched but no info for me)

Okay I dont have rear fenders... and I don't have a rear bumper that's unremovable or the original fueltank. Will these springs mount under my truck? Can I still use the shackle flip? I know it will move my axle back about a couple of inches but will the rear spring mount be able to mount to the frame? Thanks for all your help. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Never heard of it or seen it, measure and see where it would put the rear mount if you use the stock front mount. I almost think you would have to move the front mount forward a little.

I want to keep the stock front mount. I don't want to move it at all. Too much of a PITA

Talk to Watson at ORD. I think he ran 63" rears with stock front mounts and custom rear mounts before he went to coilovers in the back.

to use the 63" spring you have to move your front hanger forward like 6-7" or you'll be adding that in wheelbase. I haven'e done mine yet to my Burb, but most of the extra length will be to the front as these springs are not offset like the stock ones. The center pin is actually pretty much centered on the spring.

I think someone was talking about running the 63" springs with the Springer rear suspension setup. You might PM Marv and see what he says/thinks about it.

I think 63's and a Springer would flex like mad.

i have the springer setup and am looking at doing this.
i am starting on my truck kind of back to square one now. so i got time. i measured it out and the rear hanger has a 6 inch spread on the rivets. so remove the rivets and slide it back the 6 inches. then it will bolt right up to my springer setup. im going to PM marv about his thoughts. i will update this when i find out.

Honestly, IMO, there is such a thing as "too much flex". 57s on a Springer/Ak57 are on the edge, over by some people's estimation. 63s with proper shackle angle should be all you require. Of course, that's just my opinion.
