So after finishing up my 52" swap in the fornt, I'm planning on swapping in some 63"s in the rear. I gonna ditch my blocks and go with a DIY4X shackle flip. I'm planning on moving the front hanger up against the body mount and the rear back however far. I'm trying to keep the axle in pretty much stock location.

Here are my questions:
Shocks: How much travel? I got some 15.5" travel procomp es9000s in the front but they're about an inch too long. Would these work in the rear with 63"s or will I be getting more travel than that with the 63"s?

Inboarding: Not really a question, I'm planning on inboarding them through the floor since I dont see anywhere else I could mount them.

Track bar (I think thats what their called): Where to get? What to look for?

Driveshaft: I'm guessing ill need a new one for the extra travel, correct?

Pictures? Let's see 'em!

Streetable? I find the 52"s perfectly fine on the street. Too stiff actaully (acutally its just the overlaod only allows 1/2 of uptravel so I'm taking that out tommorow). There's definately body roll in the turns but nothing bad. Will the 63"s make it that much worse?

Offroad: How do you like them comapred with other suspension setups? Pros/cons?

Yes, I've searched. I asking for more opinions...besides searching didnt really give me the info I was looking for.

Thanks guys! :D:D:waytogo::smile1:

Buildup thread coming soon...
Currently: '77 blazer: 52" up front 7" custom shackles, 52"s rear with 4" blocks :shame:, procomp es9000s front, rancho 5000s rear (yeah, they suck), Square tube front dhshaft, d44 front with WFO x over 4.56 open, 14bff 4.56 gov loc, 350/th350/np203 parttime, full length hedman headers that barely fit, 40 series flows, 35" bfg muds and running topless and doorless

Soon: d60 front with detroit, 38" swampers or something, 454 maybe (for more power and so I dont have to regear anything with the bigger meats)
Then itll be "done"

If you setup the shackle angle right, you will use at least that much shock travel.

Inboarding: Not really a question, I'm planning on inboarding them through the floor since I dont see anywhere else I could mount them.

Inboarding the shocks allows you to get more axle travel out of the same shock but makes the shock less effective. IMO, you should mount the shocks as vertically as you can and then use limiting straps to protect the shocks. To get that much shock travel in the rear without lots of lift you have to cut holes in the floor (mrK5 did it and he has a thread about it).

Track bar (I think thats what their called): Where to get? What to look for?

If you are talking about a traction (anti-wrap) bar, I think you are best off making one yourself. Its been covered several times here.

You shouldn't need any extra travel, the diff is centered in the rear so it should move much with articulation.

There ya go :thumb:

well I agree with everything 38377k5 said. I have the 64" springs installed in my k5 but I moved the rear mount only. The frame needed to be modified because there is a hump thats in the way, but if you are moving your front mount as well, you may not need to modify the frame.

Shocks, I havnt gotten to that part yet, though I will be inboarding them.

Anti-wrap bar, Im going with kert's wraptor. I have all the parts, truss system is installed and I still need to install the wrap bar.

Drive shaft, you should be fine if the axle isnt moved back
