OK so I'm in the middle of cleaning up some 64" springs and getting them ready to be installed. I have two different sets I'm working with, a 2 leaf plus overload from a 07 1500 and a 5 leaf plus overload from a 95 dually. The plan was to use the main leaf from the 07 on the 95 pack (bushings were still good on the 07 so I wouldn't have to take measurements to order new and hope I got it right) and remove one leaf. Now the problem comes when you put the main leaf from the 95 up next to the main leaf from the 07 as shown below:

(95 main leaf is the more rusted one)

Is this going to be a problem add I put the leafs back together? Or will the rigidity of the other 3 leafs straighten it out where it won't matter? I don't want to half ass this it needs to be done right so if ordering bushings for the 95 leaf is better so be it.

All input is welcome.

As long as the ones you want to use have the same arc as each other they will be fine.

Don`t worry about the arc of the old ones.

So just to clarify, mixing the 07 main leaf (which is kind of deformed) with the 3+overload from the 95 pack will be ok?

Oh! Didn`t see that the first time.

You got a hydraulic press? If you are carful you can fix it easy enough.
If not you could bolt it together and see how it looks...might have some gaps though.

But mixing the 07 and 95 springs should be fine.

BTW I`m no expert...just a farmer that likes to use what I`ve got on hand at the time. :D

Nope no press I will bolt them up and see how it looks.
