I have kerts 14 bolt spring perches and they came pre drilled to move the axle forward or back 1.5" or 1". I just need to know which way does the axle more than likely need to move after the swap. They are still not welded is why im asking. 1.5" hole to the rear, or vice versa...

Pretty sure the pinion wants to spin up. So, I say more spring perch to the back or center. Not sure if that is really going to make a difference.just my .2

depends on og spring lingth should be 26" inches to center pin from front of spring to center pin. so 64 have a centered center pin 32" from front to center pin. They will move the axle back 5 inches from the stock location. In the rear of the truck not the front. 56" springs do not have the center pin in the middle like the 52" and 64" so one side is 26 the other is 30"
here is a link that has all the measurements you can change vehicle to ford or dodg also.

so to answer the question they will not put the axle in the right location no matter which way u weld them on the axle the perches on the frame have to be moved.. the 56 swap is a way easier swap than the 64.

I am aware of all the frame work necessary. I am just curious if everyone who does this swap would weld the 1.5" hole to the front of the axle or the rear.
