first car show (in 2004) after 15 year rebuild:
Car was a body off restification that took 15+ years due to 2 divorces, and moving 4 times. Mostly stock components used, other additions to my satisfaction. Car was completely disassembled for rebuild. Literally every nut and bolt came off the car. The body was a shell when it was stripped. Then repaired (all 4 fenders replaced, and many little cracks V'd out and glassed back in to repair). 3 color coats of Torch Red/ 2 clear. Frame and all running gear chemically stripped, and painted. Interior of frame Ziebart coated for protection from rust. I reused the original seat covers, dash skins, headliner (repainted) and door panels, and interior trim. Most interior chrome replaced, and all exterior chrome replaced.
The original engine (327/365) and original 4 spd. were gone when I got the car, but it has a 67 327 block and 67 double hump 2.02 heads. I put a T400 in it, as I got tired of breaking parts with the Muncie. It has a 4.10 rear.

I have a habit of pushing the loud pedal pretty hard, so as of 08/2009 I have the engine apart for bearing and general check up maintenance. I had to turn the crank to .020.020. Magged the forged crank and rods. Honed the cylinders. New Hastings moly ring set 4.030 on TRW flat top forged pistons (10:1)on the original 327 rods with ARP bolts in them. The cam is a Crane solid .485/.500 lift, that will now be .512/.533 with new 1.6 CC Pro Magnum Ultra roller rockers. The duration is 238*/248* @ .050. The heads are now competition prepped. I'm using an Edelbrock RPM Airgap manifold, and 750 Vac. Sec. Holley.
The T400 has a Coan reverse pattern manual valve body, and a 2400 stall Convertor. The guts are a Trans go rebuild kit.
The rear diff I plan on sending to a Vette specialist in NJ, that will polish and blueprint the complete diff assembly, and put steel caps in it, and larger cap bolts. The unit should be good to about 500 hp then.
I'll post up some progress pics soon.
