So I'm looking at a 66 Impala SS and don't really have an idea what they are worth. It's an all origonal 327/4spd with almost zero rust. 2 door hardtop. Any thoughts or comments would be great

I love old impalas, buddy of mine has a 65 ss convert with a 454 and nitrous... very sweet ride...

you're looking at some money. hope you're willing to spend it :eek1:

Either way if its what you want and set on it i say go for it. :dunno:

Looks to me like you have a pretty good collection already. why woukld you want a car?? Just a cruiser??

I don't want a car, I want to make a few bucks :D. Cars are nearly useless to me :D Makes me feel like my @$$ is riding on the ground and I hate that feeling:haha:. About the only car I would ever own is an 01 or 02 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Twin Ram.
I prefer a 800hp diesel pickup any day!!

Me and you would get along so well :D That's the exact car i want. I shoulda bought one while i was stilll working :(

I want something classic like that one day just to cruise with.

That said I've never personally owned a vehicle without a transfer case. SUV's and trucks, all I've ever owned. One day though, want some classic muscle.

It's hard to say with the current market, maybe 8K if you find a buyer like me. The solid (looking) body and 4 speed is what adds to the value the most. The SS package was still fairly common in '66, but it's the big block cars that bring the money. With really nice paint and interior, you could figure closer to 15K.

OK that helps me a bit. If it was a 396 or 427 it would have been a no brainer for me :D. I sure wish it was.
You saying you are looking for an Impala??

If I had the space, yes. I LOVE the '65-'70 Chevy full-size (have a '69), but I currently have 9 or 10 vehicles, which is already more than I really have space for. And my dad is thinking about selling his nice '66, and I really don't want it to leave the family, so I may be forced to buy it, lol.
