Hi. I am trying to match my steering wheel color to green, besides being supet sticky and gross.

Does anybody know if I can use the 69-72 steering wheel ?

is it compatible with 73-75 models.
According to stupid AI. I have a 3/4, 36 spline shaft, common size for all saginaw chevys up to 1980.

From classic industries. Their ad description doesn't say anything

Also. As a theft deterent. I would like to add a steering wheel quick disconnect also? Any recommendations?

I dont want to weld, nor extend the st. Wheel out too much. Some units are 3" thick.

I know that it will bolt onto the column, but ,the only part that I can't remember, is if there is a small ridge or ring towards the column on the older wheel.
I have a thought that there is a ring which hits the cover over the lock plate of the '73 and up column. I seem to remember trimming the ring off of one years ago to install on an Impala column.

I have no experience with the quick release setups.
