69' F250 Highboy "Ford Build"

I know i know its a Ford but its a classic old american pickup that is very much the same as chevy and dodge an i love the thing. I take great pride in learning about what you guys do to your trucks an use some ideas in the ford world so dont hate haha we all love the same thing at the end of the day an thats a good ol' 4x4
Besides some of you might get a kick out of seeing another truck around.
Picked this truck up May 11' found it on Craigslist while i was looking for wheels for my Ram
Anyways this is a slow build, The girlfriend (now wife) in late August 11' found out we where expecting our first child Got hitched in December 11' so as you can imagin all my funds for anything went to the wife, wedding, baby stuff etc. Our son came into the world May 3rd 2012 best day of our lives. The truck is still running an i work on it when i can an if im not thinking of my wife or son the truck is the other brain wash item haha.

The truck was used as a pismo truck from the PO. He had installed a hack job traction bar set up i took those off the first chance i got. He also had two front matching set of wheels he had them stolen while he was at work one day so i had a set of chevy wheels for the front to get me on the road.

Going to have to wait till the wife lets me have some play money so i can order an OEM carpet kit and pick up some dyno matt or somthing similar to finish off the cab for now

Future plans are
HP D60
GM 14 Bolt
42" TSLs
custom winch bumper up front an out back
re-work the suspention with all chevy springs an shackle flip rear with new air bags
Rear gas tank install

Building it as my Hunting/Camping rig that i can get in an go at any time
with wheeling inbetween. As rare as Highboys are im not affraid to beat the crud out of it on a trail because i can get all new sheet metal for it in one stop at the pick n pull.
So keep posted guys your up to date on how it is now an i work on it as time allows away form the family right now. This is all in the works to someday MAYBE give the keys over to my little boy if hes good.

I like it! :thumb: Especially the no rust! I would love to have one in a crew cab short box version.
Even if it is a Ford.:doah:

as i just posted to your introduction, tho I'm not a Ford fan at all, best looking front clip ever on a truck..

Thanks alot guys. I really got luck with this truck no rust at all. and seeing how i wasnt looking for a 4x4 at the time, the price and how clean the truck was i just had to snag it i would of been dumb for not getting it

I mean traffic wise. Haha my work schedule is all over the place an I don't want to sit in traffic in this beast haha the weather is always good here, but I'm spoiled with my heated seats can steering wheel an sat. Radio as is
