I don't have a pic, since this was in my original side panels, but I've done it. I cut out the hole a little bigger to clear the magnet/basket, and made a 8"x10" escutcheon out of 1/4" Masonite upholstered with vinyl to make it look nice and clean.

I have an easier idea. Just cut 6x9 holes using the templates supplied with the speakers in the side panels near the rear bench seat. Then just cut the speaker line to the 4x10's and connect them to the 6x9's. It looks good and its easy.

I cut out the factory ashtrays and put in some crappy 6x9's... I also sprayed the metal while I was in there. It is pretty easy but still not real happy w/ the sound, but I'm really disappointed in the 6x9's I bought so that could be a part of it. I also sprayed the backside of the panels and took off the white headliner thing and coated that as well because they all rattled after I installed the 6x9's. I can take some pics if you want to see anything... just let me know.

If you are unhappy with your 6x9's yuo should try 3-way pioneers. I got som and installed them and they sound great, just a suggestion.

I will give them a listen... going audio hunting today probably... Kinda leaning towards the Infinitys. Thanks for the info. I have 3 way Cerwin Vegas now that when I bought a pair a year or so ago were awsome...Not now

tori89k5 thanks ...The carpet has alot of stains,and other problems. I want to go a couple of shades darker next time
