Anyone have a lead on 7/8"x14tpi coupler nuts for a good price? I have been looking for them for awhile and have had little luck. I am looking to homebuild some inserts for my link suspension I am planning. Thanks

What ends are you using? You sure on the TPI? My ES2010L/R's are 7/8" x 18 TPI

Something to be careful of, usually coupler nuts are G5 or less. For linkage you want a G8 or better. I'd invest the small change required in a tap.

I will probably have to spend the money on the insert adapters or thread a piece of DOM. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

The link still works but the info that was on it no longer is there. Here is the SKU number for the nuts if you search this SKU it will come up. 36468

Those aren't coupler nuts, they are just grade 8 standard nuts. Coupler nuts should be about 2" long or more in that size. Those are only 3/4" long.

Coupler nuts are usually twice as long or longer then normal nuts to couple to pieces of all thread together.

2 of those nuts welded together might work but would be kinda booty and may not work if they warped the threads and wouldn't thread correctly. I will probably try and thread the DOM and make my own inserts that way.

Thanks though.

Ok, now i understand what you're trying to do. Search that website and i'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. They have all sorts of cool stuff available.

I just took a peak and they do have coupler nuts but only 7/8" x 9 TPI and 2 1/2" long

When I was working at the local hardware store we couldnt get them anymore. What we were told was that there was no demand so they stopped being made.
