70 blazer, 35k on odo, camper

Not sure on pricing in your neck of the woods but around here a pile of crap goes for 5K and a decent one goes for 7K.

I never new that a camper was available on the 1st gen blazers?

not in this economy i live in san jose about 30 min or so away from you and i couldnt sell my daily driver smogged reliable 76 k5 blazer with a (somewhat rare) 400ci smallblock factory v8. Only thing wrong with it is it leaks a lil tranny fluid which is pretty typical i couldnt sell it for 2k :eek1:. Although i probably couldnt have sold it even if i had found a buyer .

and id pick up that blue 72 in a second if its not too bad mechanically/interior.

Tough call Wade... they're both pretty decent deals. But that first one is a Very nice unmolested rig. I guess it depends on what he's looking to do with it.

You can't compare a 76 to a 70. First gens in junk condition are still more desirable than later models. 73-75 k5s are still pretty desirable but you can get 76 and later stuff anywhere for cheap. 76 is probably the least desirable since it's the first year for full smog checks. The smog exception is a huge incentive to get an older one.

I like the second ad only cause It would be tough to remove that camper top quickly.

There is no comparison in price between a 1st gen and a later 2nd gen blazer period. That's like comparing apples and oranges, just isn't going to happen.

They both sound like good deals. You just don`t see any around here that aren`t clapped out rust buckets. I`ve never seen a 1st gen camper, is it a pop up like a Chalet? Nice clean stock rig if that is what he`s after.

Notice how that camper has a section of first gen hardtop as part of it, so it seals and provides side glass support and sealing? Definitely built specifically for a first gen K5...which makes it somewhat valuable IMO. If that one also came with a stock hardtop it'd be an awesome deal!

2nd link has been deleted. $5k seems about right for the top one. Wonder if he still has the rear seat for it?
