Guys, I am looking at buying some seats out of a 1970 k5 for my 1989 k5. Will they fit?? Has anyone done this? Front buckets and rear seat. I like the look of low back seats and think they would look good in my 89?
Are you talking about the 1970 seats with brackets? I don't believe the holes will line up but anything can be made to fit, also the 1970 seats will sit a little higher I think.
Another option is low back TMI seats: https://www.tmiproducts.com/cars/chevy/blazer/1989
I was thinking of buying some seat brackets from merricks garage and trying them out. I looked at the tmi seats and they are about the same price as the seats out of the 70.

Another option. The 1st gen Blazer seats, in good shape, are worth their weight in gold! People are asking stupid prices for them. We got $700 for a set of bare frames, and springs. You might just sale the seats, and use the money for really nice later model seats, or aftermarket seats. Just a thought.
