I am swaping in a 700-r4 into my 1979 Jimmy. What things will need to be changed. What is the best Gear ratio to run in the rear end with a 700-r4. Right now I have stock gears and 31 inch tires. What would I need to do to have the lock up converter work?

To run a 700r4 you need to install a TV cable and a 12v wiring system to lock/unlock the torque convertor. Higher numerical gears may be need if you are going to bigger tires. Go look at www.700r4.com for details.
