700 r4 to t400 swap (pics)

350 / 400 / 700 / 4l60-e / 4l80-e all could be tin cover or drilled and taped for aluminum cover. but the actual bell section is cast diffrent on most trans for one or the other. but i just was looking at a 400 i have from a 78 1ton it has tin cover but is the thicker wider bell for the aluminum cover just not drilled and taped for it.

Yeah, and I think Raptor has some conversion covers, haven't looked in a while.

If you have a HD case turbo 400 it will have the tapped holes and an alluminum cover. I purchased mine with the cover and the struts behind a 454 with the 205 case. I later purchased one with a 203 that wasn't the HD case and it has the thin cover flange that is only drilled for sheet metal-like screws to attach the tin cover.
