I have a 85 blazer that has a 6.2l diesel in it, well I came to find out the stock 700r4 was swapped for a th350...not saying a th350 isnt good but I want that extra gear for highway driving expecially with the diesal motor...anyways I found a 700r4 from a s10 blazer on ebay...and the price is right, and the thing is like maybe 30 mins from my house for pickup, will this tranny work?? and if not a direct bolt up what parts would I need?? heres the ebay listing 700r4 tranny
thanks for any help

It would fit fine, BUT it is for an S-10. S-10's do not have as many clutch packs and other HD parts as a v-8 diesel or gas motor.

If it was me, I wouldnt do it. Just my opinion.

hmmm...I didnt think about that...is there any way to beef it up with a rebuild w/hd parts?? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif cuz Im not worried if I have to rebuild it, was probably gonna anyways just cuz my tranny I have now works fine, so its not like it needs to go in right away.

what he said, but if it was rebuilt like he said it was, then i probably has more clutches, not saying that it will, but it should.

is 200 at least a descent price?? considering it comes with a t case (that I'd NEVER use) but could sell to get some of the money back. and if it hasnt been rebuilt how hard would it be to do so with HD parts?

Unfortunately, its the "shoulds" that always end up burning me. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

Buy it, not only is a a K-case but it came from a 4.3 so the bellhousing will be the same. If it blows you have a good case and pump to start with.....
