i have a 350/350 combo and a 350/700-r4 combo. the 350 motor with the 350 tranny is blown. What do i need to do to make the 700-R4 version motor work with the 350 tranny?

I cant seem to post in the technical forums, I guess much has changed since my last time visiting.

BTW... the 350/350 combo is from an 81 and the 350/700 combo is from an 88. i will not be using fuel injection with the 350 tranny, i will be changing to carb for simplicity reasons.

thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There is a write up about switching the 700 for the 350 in "Tech Articles". Hopefully that will help you out on the switch.

As far as posting in other forums and being blue: Steve made it so that anybody that's blue can only post in the Garage, Feedback, and the Test Forum. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

If you're asking about swapping 350 engines from one that is in front of a TH350 and wanting to install one from in front of a 700R4 there is no difference other than the flexplate bolt circle and you can only use the late flexplate on the late engine anyhow. It is a direct swap.
