has anyone had success adjusting/setting the downshift cable at the carb? it went from bad to acceptable after many attempts by trans guys. I got sick of it and have it o.k. after trying myself.Shifts hard 1st to 2nd, wont down shift into 1st unless barley rolling in 2nd. good behavior otherwise. 350 small block,3.73rear 700r4

Check this out and see if it helps. I'm using a braided style cable in my 57 with a 200r4 which is adjusted the very same way as a 700r4 and I'm very pleased with how it shifts.

you'll nuke the tranny is short order if the tv cable isn't set right... it's not a kickdown, it controls line pressure... read that article thoroughly....
