700 with AA's short shaft to 205 questions?

700 with AA\'s short shaft to 205 questions?

I have this setup installed, minus the front driveshaft. I have been searching for the solution to my front driveshaft troubles. I have the 30 spline front output shaft. I just ordered a spicer CV yoke from ORD. How close is the spicer CV to the trans pan? Anyone have some pictures or experience with this setup? What angles can the spicer CV run? I have a 6" lift, will it work? Thanks everyone!

I ran the same set up. It is real close to the pan so you can't run any kind of deep pan or any thing. A far as the lift mine was the same. The good thing is I have a brand new frt. drive shaft that I could sell ya. It was my spare for just in case I broke.

I am planing on running the same setup 700r w/aa' short shaft and 204 but with a 4" lift wath typof problems will i run into.

Now if you run a 204 you will run into all kinds of problems like building one /forums/images/icons/grin.gif But if you were to change your mind and use a 205 you should not have any problems. The only thing is you may have to re-drill holes in the frame for the new crossmember. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
This is an easy swap as long as you let someone install the trans. shaft from A.A.

I have an A.A. book I will look and let you know. If you did not want to overhaul the trans. with a new shaft there is a plate you can buy from for a trans. shop so all you do is bolt it in between the trans. & t-case. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I am ordering a 700r4 from .phoenixtrans.com and they are going to install the shaft. I just have to save up the money, I have other miner thing I am fixxing first.

Did you order it yet? If not I have a guy that would build yours for about $500-$650 plus shaft. If you don't have a 700R4 I can get one for you. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I have not ordered it yet, I will be maybe 2-3 months. Were is he located? What type of upgrades does he do, warrenty? Right now i am rebuilding my truck, I need to put about $1200 into it before I swap the trans.

I am also planning on using AA's output shaft. But I'm going to go into a 203 w/ORD doubler.

He does all the updates and upgrades that Jet does.
He is here in Austin he built Rocko's,mine, & a bunch of my buddys. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Billy Ray I may be interested in the driveshaft. Do you have a picture of it? What kind of price are we talking? Did you have any problems running this setup?

This guy works at a shop and does this on the side for extra money and gives a 12/12 warranty. Ask Rocko if he likes his. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

That looks like an excellent drive shaft. I will find out what length I need once I get the yoke installed tomorrow. Can you tell me the extended and retracted lengths? Are those 1310 joints at both ends?
