700r-4 Gurus....Help with wiring

When we pulled the engine and trans, the 4 prong (but there is only three wires in it) that connects to the driver side of the tranny got caught on the bell housing and crumbled it. I bought a replacement plug with the pig tails, but they are all white and I dont know which wires to splice where.

1991 S-15 Jimmy
4.3 TBI
700 r-4
4x4

Will these wires be the same as my 1989 k5 5.7TBI/700r-4???
I will go out and look now.

Did the connector crumble, or did the wires rip off?

If I were you I would just de-pin the one you just bought, and plug the stock wires into the new plug you got, no splicing, no hassle, except figuring out which wire goes where.

i would think that the wires from your k5 are the same as the s-15 but im not sure. if i have free time at work tomm. i can look at some tranny books to see if i can find a answer for ya.

it may not be the same, the later trannys the lockup is computer controlled. the colors should be the same though.

there should be a green yellow and red IIRC

A 91 should have computer controlled lockup.... I know the fullsizes do.

on the k5 (Painless wiring) there is a green, purple and brown


on the S-15, they are "BLUE", purple and brown

I am just going to hook it up and let it ride!!
