Was wondering what I need to do to my transmission to get a NP205 to hook up to my 700R-4. The transmission is currently hooked to a NP208, which is slowly dying. Thanks for your input...
u can get the adapter from a boneyard or post a thread in the wanted parts forum & see if a member can help u out.
u can also buy an output shaft for the 700 from advance adapters to mate it to a 205 w/out the spacer. i didn't even know there was a stock spacer like that.
the problem with using the output shaft from AA is the front driveshaft will hit the tranny pan. plus you have to disassemble the tranny to replace it.
im not exactly sure where to get the spacer. i know i can get it in the 700r4 to th350 kits, but it comes with alot of extra stuff that you can't use. there was a thread about this not to long ago saying who sold just the spacer and studs.
2. Teckpak Fitzall (brand name) Quick Swap spacer. Part #7Q-35A. This is the cast
aluminum spacer that allows “no output shaft changes” to the 700R4. Using this
spacer allows you to use any 700R4. New in box with O-ring.
