700R-4 with extra clutch packs

Is it worth it?? I am getting around to getting my
output shaft put in. The guy thats gonna do it, said He
could put extra clutch's in for me. He said it would go
from a six pack (factory) to a ten pack on 3/4 gear.

Its for my 82 GMC with the 454.

yes, any time you get more clutches, it reduces the slippage and doesn't create as much heat and helps it to last longer.

if he is going this far then just reman the whole thing. do it one time and be done. and yes more is better. but dont forget the convertor still has only one clutch disk so dont put to much load on it in over drive with the convertor locked up.
