700r question

Can I swap a 700r out of my '82 Sub into my TBI '89 Sub without modification?

granted they are both either four wheel drive or two wheel drive. know that i think about it, there may be some electrical connections or some other connection a little different, i dont believe its much of a huge, but im sure someone else can clarify this. good luck..
