700r4/241 single hump crossmember

i know its a real long shot, but im lookin for a single hump crossmember for a 700r4/241. im pretty sure it is what i need. let me know what you have. thanks

I'm pretty sure the "single hump" crossmember used from 87 to 91 will work fine for you. That is the one that's in my 89 burb with TH700/NP241, and in the 91's with 4L80/NP205.

I got one with a TH400/NP241 last week... See if you can't find anything local first but I can ship it if needed, it'll more than likely cost more to ship than I would want to pay though.

$20 plus the ride though.

James, which adapter are you using?
If you are using the modified NP203 adapter, you can't use a "humped" crossmember at all, it will be too tall. You will have to use a "flat" crossmember from a 1/2 or 3/4 ton 73-84 truck, if you are putting this in a 1/2 or 3/4 ton frame.
If you are putting this in a 1 ton frame, you will have to have the "flat" crossmember from a 1 ton truck.

If you are using a TH400/NP241 adapter, then you must use a "humped" adapter.

crap haha. im going to use the adapter i got from you (400/203 modified) and its going onto a k30. so then i need a flat cross-member for a 1ton right?

haha jeeze im confused. it makes it more confusing when you arent looking at everything to tell what you need

Ok, so you need the (very) flat crossmember. This is the same one use in the CUCV M1008 (1 1/4 ton pickup). I have one, but you can probably find one closer, and I won't be able to get it shipped for about a week.
