I did the ultimate tbi mods and added a spacer now anytime I touched the gas it drops back to 3rd. I've read how to adjust the TV cable before I screw up is this right. Push in tab hold throttle wide open and release? I've also read of people putting spacers under the TV cable ? It's a fresh built 700r4 with the good stuff and new converter, don't want to burn it up.

That's pretty much it. Tons of vids on youtube if you get nervous. Not much too it.

Did it not do this before? I'm assuming you put the TB spacer in so that may be throwing it off due to the length of the linkage - OR - is this a new engine setup? You shouldn't need a TV cable spacer.

the tv spacers are basically 2 longer intake bolts, and a pair of spacers to raise the bracket up an inch... it does help.... it brings the geometry of the cable back into position..

and yes, depress the D button, push sheath all the way towards the firewall, release the D, than give it full throttle, the cable should click out a couple positions...

Well I adjusted it , I didn't do it right but got lucky. I was trying to feel under it for the button/release and was gently pulling on the cable and it clicked out some. The cable is right length at W/O open throttle on throttle body ? took it for a ride and it shifted right and stayed in O/D on the highway. Just seemed too easy but made a big difference :dunno:

the D button is on the inside of the unit.. the dizzy side.. you push back on the the sheath toward the firewall whilr that is pressed.. if it clicked when you pushed on it, you where pushing the wrong direction...

full throttle on the gas pedal technically... and for the record, this is not an adjustment, you are "setting" the cable...
