700r4 Dipstick

While changing the filter in the 700r4, I noticed how shallow the dipstick goes into the pan. Is this correct? The dipstick housing sits flush with the transmission housing, but the stick still seems short. Does this look correct to anyone?

see how soaked everything is? The fluid expands when heated also, so it will take up even more room. The fluid goes up into the dipstick tube also. Your dipstick looks fine.
