700R4 Driver Side Wires

I have a blue and green wires coming out of the driver side on the transmission, do I need them connected to something? I belive it is for back up lights, but could be wrong. The truck gets trailerd to and from the mud so back up lights are not needed.

your backup lights are controlled by a switch on the column. the wires you are referring to are most likely for a torque converter lock up. I don't have mine hooked up either. My truck is trailered and never gets into overdrive anyways.

If there is someone here who can tell me why they would need to be hooked up on a trail rig I will gladly listen. although I don't know what I would hook them to since there isn't much left to my truck.

That is what i needed to hear. The truck maybe sees 3rd once and awhile usually only 1st and 2nd. Ill just tuck the wires away for a later date then.
