700r4 grinding noise

my 700r4 started grinding under deceleration the weird thing is it only does it in overdrive i tried to get it to happen in the other gears and nothing I'm pretty sure its time for a rebuild but I'm trying to hold off as long as i can.

That is an odd symptom, try gently pushing the transfer case shifter to 4H while this is going on and see if it makes a difference. Could be a transfer case snap ring or fork issue.

thanks ill give it a try next time i get it out on the highway a t case will be easier than a trans

Tried that didn't work I'm just gunna drive it till it quits on me
