could i use a 1991 700r4 2wd vss system(plugs into tranny not the tcase) on my 1991 700r4 4wd tranny?i know the tails are different but could i use that little freezeplug hole on my 700r4 to put the 2wd setup in??

No, the system needs to be in the t-case otherwise it will not read correctly when in low range.
What is the motivation? You have these parts on hand and want to make them work?
Maybe you don't care that the speedo is off by 2x or 2.7x when you're in low range. Why can't you use the 1991 VSS that fits in the old mechanical speedo housing on the side of the T-case?

i couldn't find 1,i've searched and shot emails/called to jtr and 4 other places "it wont work becuase you made it one ton"
. i even followed apost on here from like 04-05.i would love to do the conversion as my 205 is cable driven and my pos 241 is vss but id rather have the 205.

If you want to run a 205 t-case then JTR sells a convertor to go from mechanical to a VSS.
