700R4 in 3/4 ton burbs?

Hey Guys, random question.
Were there 3/4 ton suburbans from 87-90 (i know 91 has the 4L80) that came the 700R4?

I thought they all had the TH400 but seeing some have the (D) next to the D above the steering column in the for sale pics.

Nope!

All the 3/4 ton's got th400's until the 4l80e in the 91.

If its prior to 90, you either have a wrong year (actually a 91), or 3/4 ton axles swapped into a 1/2 ton.

Sorry but I have 2 original 3/4 ton subs with the 700r4.
It might be the fact they are diesel but they came factory that way.
They are early 80"s though 84-85

(note the OD pic) could it be the add is actually for a 91?

Bummed we can't see the axles, or the lug count.

Something doesn't match up though. The 3/4 ton front bumpers never came with the lower front air dam.

So, it could be an original 1/2 ton with 3/4 emblems, or it could have 3/4 ton axles and emblems, or it could be a 3/4 ton factory with 1/2 ton bumper. Hell, it could have the wrong trans indicator / dash section in it too.

Sounds like a trans tag check is in order.
