Which of the wires running into the tranny for TC lock up is the hot one? I need to setup a toggle switch for lock up, the 4th gear pressure switch is grounded out so it automatically locks up the TC when it goes into 4th.

On mine it's the front driver's side wire...

Just check it for +12V with the key on. It should then drop to zero when someone touches the brakes.

Hope you have someone else to tap the brakes:D

I have an ATSG manual and thought I'd be a big help:o:o

There are 15 different type wiring diagrams:eek1::eek1:

Know what model you have? It's two or three letters.

Yes, sometimes "Too Much Information" can be a problem:(

hahaha I am not gumby, but I dont think theres anything such as too much information. I did some digging around and there are 3 pins A,B,C. A is the 12 volt source and it is either red or purple.

Just finished hooking up my toggle switch and L.E.D indicator up, probably one of the best modifications I have done thus far. I guess cause the way it iss grounded out or whatever the TC wouldnt unlock so when I slowed or hit the brakes the engine and trans would kind of shutter cause everything was locked still. Getting onto the highway is no comparision, truck doesnt bog down when it shifts into 4th and the shifts arent so dramatic, get up to speed and lock it up. Doesnt take much to get that fluid hot but as soon lock it up I can almost see the temp guage moving and after a few minutes it will drop down to 175 ish.

You may want to look at your cooling system...the target you want to shoot for is somewhere around 150-160 degrees (or so I'm told). You probably aren't hurting at 175, but...

Yeah, I have an auxillary cooler in the front and it will run 160-170 on the highway all day at 70, but farting around town with 1 tons and 38's I think 175 is pretty good. I beleive you want to get the fluid to 160 in order to burn off any condensation or moisture.
