so i have searched. i think my questions have been mostly answered, but i want to make sure. first off, can i or can i not get lockup in first gear? the primary reason i want this is for compression braking without a doubler. second, my truck is an 85, and presumably the tranny is too. should my setup be vaccum or electrical? is just a soliniod that i can tell to open with a switch? what i am looking do do is change my automatic lockup to a manual switch. i understand most of the bad things that can go wrong with this setup. the thing is, i heard different things about how to do this.
