Your larger 4 row radiator should keep the engine cool very well, low water temps will help keep the ATF cooler, especially under a heavy load, thats PLENTY of cooling power for just a 350. You may already have an air to air cooler there, you will have to check. My K5 came factory with a stacked plate external cooler, which is a good setup. If you don't, pick up a stacked plate cooler like mentioned in a few other posts here and plumb it in, it's an easy job.
With your truck being a 3/4 ton it probably has 4.10 gears, that is low enough for 35's withought causing it to run too warm. If you do have 3.73's I would be a little concerned, it could effect the longevity of the tranny. Go to your glovebox, find the lamenated paper with all the codes on it, and relay back what the ratio code is, we'l tell you what ratio you have stock.

My 2 cents, if you have 35" tires and a 700R4 you will want 4.56 or better yet 4.88 gears to get the most out of that tranny. 4.10's are a good ratio for 33" tires. Right now you probably can't use overdrive until you get over 55-60 mph. Worse if you have 3.73 or 3.42 gears. But find out what ratio you have and go from there.

back off man... you need to understand that if you ask a tranny shop that is in the middle of rebuilding a 700r4 why it blew, 75 % of the time they say" It got too hot". If you know more than people who rebuild these trannies everyday im very impressed but i doubt it very much. Chill out. Higher stall ratios will increase temps as well as low gear wheeling. If hes creeping up a hill its real easy for that thing too get hot with his setup.

Oh comon dude, now your just feeling sorry for yourself. If went on and on about things i diddnt really know the other members would let into me just as hard as anyone else. The difference may be alot of the others may have more actual hands-on real life experiance, opposed to your just talking about what you think you know. If i were you i would really just chill. Let some of the more experiaced members answer questions who have been doing this for 10-20 yrs.
