The '86 Blazer the wife crashed has a 700-208 combo in it. I want to install it in my '75 K-5 that now has a 350-208 combo. Other than the wiring stuff from Trans Adapt or another supplier, can you foresee any problems?

The later model 700R4's are supposedly better, how can you identify a later model 700R4?

87' and up are the better versions. One way to tell at a glance is to look for the big "rainbow" shaped casting line on the passenger side of the case (over the cooling line ports). Also look at the #'s stamped on the case right above the right rear corner of the pan. The very first digit indicates year, i.e 7=1987 and so on.
